PORCH ADDITION

This remodel began when the homeowner wanted an enlarged indoor/outdoor living space. I began by removing a 12 x 12 porch which was too small. I started drawing up the design which is now 18 feet into the yard and 36 feet across the back of the house. The ceiling height starts at 8 feet graduating to 12 feet at the house line. This high ceiling was just what the homeowner wanted, as She envisioned a large screened space with two french doors which swing out into the porch for that grand entrance look and feel. I built the room with a knee wall below the screening which provides privacy and still maintains a great viewing area to take in the large yard.
